Summer Schedule for TheWAY
We are going to be trying some exciting things this summer. As usual, we do have a busy summer planned, but I know that you are equally busy with sports, vacations, and getting a sunburn.
We are going to be doing a spiritual challenge this summer. Here is the challenge: I challenge you to grow spiritually this summer amid the distractions, free time, temptations and blessings that are going to come at you. I Challenge you to come to prayer meeting when we don’t have youth group. Come to Sunday night church - I love to learn and fellowship in this service. I Challenge you to read and do a book report on a Christian book (see Pastor Josh for choices). I challenge you to memorize at least 8 Bible verses (2 Timothy 4:1-8). And finally, I Challenge you to get with your parents and talk with them about this Challenge.
If you are prepared to take this challenge - if you’re serious - we have 3 trips planned to keep you motivated this summer:
Creation Museum and Kings Island The cost for this trip is $80 and the dates are June 23rd to June 25th. We will leave at 10am on Thursday. Please see Pastor Josh by Sunday, June 19th if you would like to go. You only qualify for this trip if you are starting your challenge: 1. Memorized 2 Timothy 4:1 by June 20th 2. Staying faithful to church 3. Picked out a book and have already started reading it. 4. Honoring your Father and mother. 30 Mile Bike Ride And Camping Trip July 15th to July 17th - The cost for this trip is $20. We will be going to church in Clare, so you will need to bring some church clothes. You qualify for this trip if you are keeping up with your challenge: 1. Memorized 2 Timothy 4:1-4 by July 13th 2. Staying faithful to church 3. At least a third of the way through your book 4. Honoring your father and mother. Michigan Adventure The cost for this event will be $30. The date is August 20th. You qualify for this event by: 1. Memorizing 2 Timothy 4:1-8 2. Staying faithful to church 3. Having your book read and a short 2 paragraph report telling me how it helped you grow. 4. Honoring your father and mother.
